About Vee

Vee works at the Magpie Cafe in Upwey, a little suburban village in the Dandenong Ranges of Melbourne, Australia. So yes, if you really wanted to find her, you probably could. In 2009 she was diagnosed with PCOS, and after struggling with weight gain for several years she turned her life upside down to change to a Low Carb diet  in 2013. She’s an avid writer – though hasn’t officially published anything yet; one day she will, she hopes anyways. She’s also a lover of cats, dogs and snakes – of which she has several. She enjoys reading, poetry, rain, languages, and a whole host of other things that aren’t entirely relevant to public knowledge – you don’t really need to know about her obsession with stationary for instance, something about the way paper crisps when its been written on makes her a worry in stationary shops; IT’S JUST SO PRETTY. Other than that, she dabbles in blogging, Facebooking, Instagram and Twitter and maintains a real world presence by learning new languages and playing a variety of musical instruments.

Just so you know she’s qualified in something, Vee holds a BA – from the Australian National University with majors in History, International Relations, and English Literature – and a Masters in Cultural Arts – Monash University with specialisations in English Literature and Creative Writing. In other words she can read, write and research the heck out of anything.

At this point, she’s nearly 30 and married with two cats, a dog, two snakes and a chicken.
